No, this isn't one of those special edition Xbox controller parodies. Today, Microsoft and Xbox announced a new promotion on Twitter featuring a controller that will sing to you as you play.
This "singing Xbox controller" doesn’t just sing any song either, it sings "Bad Decisions," the new track just dropped by Benny Blanco, Snoop Dogg and all-powerful K-Pop boy band BTS.
If you feel the sudden need to have this product in your life, Xbox is giving away just 30 of the Series X/S controllers to people who tweet the hashtag "#BadDecisionsSongXBoxSweepstakes" between today and August 25th.
So far, many have already taken them up on the offer. But a large number of gamers have also expressed bafflement at this latest promotion, including much of the gaming press.

Amid the confused reactions, others are taking the chance to joke around and wonder about how they might use the singing controller.
#BadDecisionsSongXboxSweepstakes can't wait for that controller to sing to me before the club

The new Twitter promotion comes at a time when Xbox is facing supply chain shortages with its controllers. The company admits that it may be “harder to find” Xbox controllers this summer depending on where in the world you are.
If you're unfamiliar with the featured song "Bad Decisions" included with the bizarre device, here's the track on YouTube if you're curious to hear it — without the medium of a singing controller, of course.
