Kirsten Vaughn, mechanic fired for onlyfans account

Kirsten Vaughn, an Indiana auto mechanic, was fired from her job after coworkers discovered her OnlyFans account, leading to an outcry against sexist double standards.

Vaughn, who posts NSFW content on OnlyFans under the handle Ms Red, posted on April 20th that it was "a shame" she had been fired by Don Ayres Honda dealership in Fort Wayne, Indiana after coworkers discovered her account. Vaughn had been fired in February.

The story began going viral when it was picked up by Buzzfeed, where Vaughn shed more light on the situation. According to Vaughn, her coworkers learned about her OnlyFans through her Instagram stories and began watching her content at work, where they then began sexually harassing her.

“I had a coworker come up to me and…he was telling me how the salesmen were all huddled up in a group, and that he had come up to the group and they were on an OnlyFans page,” she told Buzzfeed. “And he said that he didn’t know it was me until they passed by a picture of my face and he said, ‘I’ve seen a lot of you.’ I was like, ‘That’s fucking great, thanks. Showing it to fucking everybody.”

She also provided to Buzzfeed audio of the meeting where she was let go, where her bosses appeared to blame her for being sexually harassed.

“If there were coworkers over there who had access to your page, that might encourage them to approach you with unwanted sexual conduct or comments,” said Jason Johnston, head of HR at the dealership, in the recording.

“If the guys just would’ve watched their porn at home, none of this would’ve happened,” said Vaughn. “But instead of looking at it like, ‘Hey, the guys are kind of creepy,’ it’s, ‘Oh well, you’re the girl that brought this to their attention, and you’re responsible.'”

Vaughn was evidently a model employee at the dealership. “I was a phenomenal employee with a perfect record that never got in trouble,” she said. “When I went to work and I was on the clock, I did my job and I was good at it. I was appropriate when I was at work. I wore my uniform. I did what I had to do.”

Johnson also praised her abilities, saying to Buzzfeed, "We think very highly of her."

Further clouding the situation is the dealership's history of dealing with OnlyFans content. Another mechanic at the shop, a male, had appeared in a girlfriend's OnlyFans video and was not reprimanded. Another female mechanic who had worked at the shop also had an OnlyFans quit after coworkers found out and one sexually molested her. When Vaughn asked Johnston if he was thinking of that incident, he replied, "Absolutely! Sexual harassment that you would find personally unwelcome, and that's something I would be concerned about for you."

Vaughn is now making more money on OnlyFans than she did as a mechanic and does not regret joining the platform. As her story went viral, Twitter users voiced their support for Vaughn and decried the double standards of the dealership.

> Should an employer have the right to fire their employee for things they do privately?

The Buzzfeed article and this article are misleading. She was taking pics on company time and in the company uniform. They were 100% right to fire her.
