Twitter Users Not Onboard For Chance the Rapper's Endorsement Of Kanye For President

Chance the Rapper had a big day on Twitter yesterday. The Chicago-based hip hop artist, to no one's surprise, endorsed his friend and collaborator Kanye West for president, citing his musical taste and West's promise of commitment to the black community.

It all began early Monday morning, Chance, perhaps innocuously, retweeted a video of West's mother reciting the lyrics to KRS-One's "Sound of da Police" and wrote, "And yall out here tryna convince me to vote for Biden. Smfh."


The Rapper later deleted the tweet but left the video of West's mother on his feed. He followed the KRS-One tweet with a series of posts arguing for West's candidacy.


The tweets did not go over as well as Chance expected. People online began mocking his opinion, arguing against West's presidential campaign and mocking Chance's recent public exploits. Not only were people annoyed about Kanye West's presidential campaign, but also the idea that they should vote for Chance's friend because they like the same music.


After arguing back and forth for several hours, Chance the Rapper announced his exit from the argument, writing, "I understand the improbability of Ye winning the 46th Presidential seat and I understand that everyone voting for Biden isn’t necessarily doing so enthusiastically." Sadly, he did not accept the supposed endorsement from Terry Crews.


However, Crews was quick to clear the air on that one:
