A viral exchange between the company behind Snickers and users on Twitter about the “candy bar’s veins led to much hubbub online over the last few days. It all began when Twitter user @JUNIPER posted a picture of a smooth Snickers bar on Saturday, satirically grieving the candy bar as a victim of cancel culture and lamenting the loss of its signature “dick vein.”

To the surprise of many, the official Snickers Twitter account even replied that the veins were still in place, reassuring a very concerned group of internet candy enthusiasts that the rumors were false.

Snickers response – and its randy joking – led many to express shock amid the recent trend.

Some jokingly congratulated Snickers for not giving into “woke mobs” and retaining their candy bar’s signature “dick veins.”

The post that started the entire Snickers bar dick vein controversy, from @JUNIPER, participates in what would seem to be an increasingly popular trend in meme culture. The original post photoshopped the joke headline into what would seem to be a real news story. The same account (JUNIPER) helped make “goblin mode” trend with a fake news post featuring photoshopped headlines about Kanye West and Julia Fox. Another account, @DoctorPenisBoob, used a similar technique to momentarily convinced many Twitter users that Elon Musk was pegged by Grimes.

In the aftermath of it all today, the hashtag trend #RandyCandy took off on Twitter as users reimagined their favorite candy brands with a lewd twist.
