Beloved Gamer and Esports Caster KiXSTAr Confirmed Dead At 24

Earlier today, Rainbow Six icon and award-winning esports caster Michael "KiXSTAr" Stockley was confirmed to be dead at the age of 24 by his family. Further details are unknown at this time, but what is known is the profound impact he had on the Rainbow Six community and gaming in general.

In 2020, he was voted as the color commentator of the year, a feat that he had hoped to repeat when voting began at the beginning of this month, and one he may very well do since fans have been calling for people to vote for him as a posthumous winner alongside other large players in the community paying their respects online.

KiXSTAr was a pillar of the R6 community and gave a voice to the game that was unmatched.

While fans were sharing their favorite clips and memories of KiXSTAr, there were some who went a little further than that. The Unified Premier League and Solar Flare Competitive League both stated that matches would be suspended for the day out of respect, and it turned out that several people were going to Kix's Twitch channel and gifting subs to people because it unlocked a special charm that will soon be seen as a memorial item for him.

In light of the events that have surfaced we have decided to postpone our broadcast today in respect of KiXSTAr. Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.
