Last week, Kanye West's much-hyped album Donda finally came out and, perhaps not surprising considering the album is 27 tracks long and features a Globglogabgalab sample, divided critics. Critics noted was the album was a mixed bag, with some good ideas but a lot of bloat. Pitchfork, the oft-memed premier music criticism site online, gave the album a score of 6.0, which is more generous than some other publications, but still not a terrific score. Fans noticed that it was lower than another album Pitchfork recently reviewed: Peppa's Adventures: The Album.

A few weeks ago, amidst the Donda hype, Pitchfork had a lark and published a tongue-in-cheek, 6.5 review for Peppa Pig's Peppa's Adventures: The Album. Reading through the piece, it's clear Pitchfork is poking fun at itself, with writer Peyton Thomas writing lines like, "Only 4 years old, and one of very few pigs working in the music industry today, Peppaβs rise has been as rapid as it was unlikely," and "As Peppa readied her sophomore effort, critics wondered: Was My First Album a fluke? Or is Peppa equipped to play in the UKβs crowded pop big leagues, alongside more established stars like Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran?"
As is often the case with criticism, people tended to skip over Pitchfork's writing and focus on the score. Several gimmick accounts immediately sprung up on Twitter to make note of what albums Pitchfork apparently felt were worse than Peppa's Adventures.

When Donda scored worse than Peppa's Adventures, it caught the attention of Kanye's notoriously rabid fanbase. It didn't help that Peppa Pig pretty much bodied West in a since-deleted tweet.
"Peppa didn't have to host listening parties in Mercedez-Benz Stadium for that .5," she said.
Peppa, presumably in between tormenting Daddy Pig and jumping in splashy puddles, trolled Kanye here, and it was celebrated through Twitter.

While Kanye and Drake have been "beefing" over their two albums, both may have to keep an eye out for music's biggest rising star, Peppa Pig.
