Kid Rock and his new song we the people.

Kid Rock, once an all-American bad boy rock star, has been attempting to reinvent himself in recent years as a voice of the American right. Recently, that journey has led him to release a new song entitled "We The People," which is an anti-Biden and anti-Fauci track replete with conservatives' favorite meme of the past six months, "Let's Go Brandon."

In the song, Mr. Rock is seemingly very angry about Fauci and Biden's efforts to stem the COVID-19 pandemic, singing lyrics such as "Wear your mask, Take your pills, Now a whole generation is mentally ill," and "COVID’s near, It’s coming to town, We gotta act quick, shut our borders down. Joe Biden does, the media embraces. Big Don does it, and they call him racist."

As one might imagine, the reaction to Kid Rock's political song divided Twitter along party lines, with the left thinking it was ridiculous and the right thinking it was good, though some TCOT (Top Conservatives On Twitter) hot takes were particularly spicy.

It seems Kid Rock's latest single will likely do nothing to heal political divisions in America, but if anything, he seems to have shored up his audience of conservatives online.

"Let's go Brandon" was the biggest meme of 2021. This lame ass joke. And if you're one of the people who couldn't stop clutching their pearls over it; it was your fault. The meme hasn't been about Biden for months. It's been about you and the fact you can't just let it go.

Ironically, the only person who has had a reasonable reaction to it has been Biden himself. Him saying "I agree, let's go Brandon" made that guy on the phone look like an idiot. If that had been Democrats response from the start the meme would have died in it's infancy. The whole point is to get a rise out of you. It's trolling. And the people saying it know that they'll get a disproportionately strong reaction from you.

Quit pretending you don't care or that you don't understand it (so many people acting like they forgot what memes and trolling are) and actually let it go.
