Some two and a half years since Part 5 finished airing, the Part 6 Stone Ocean of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime series is finally here with a whopping dozen episodes available right away.

Part 6 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is set at Green Dolphin Street Prison in Florida, where Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Part 3 protagonist Jotaro Cujoh, finds herself wrongfully incarcerated before she discovers that there is a target on her head.

Jolyne is voiced by actress Fairouz Ai, known for her roles in How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift? and Kandagawa Jet Girls, with Kira Buckland lending her voice for the English dub.

Few days ahead of the premiere, the opening was officially revealed, showing the new cast of characters (and a familiar face).

Unlike previous installations of the series, which premiered on Crunchyroll, this time around it was Netflix who got its hands on the incredibly popular, much-memed series. In contrast to the usual one episode per week schedule, twelve episodes of Part 6 were released on day one, getting viewers closely acquainted with this part's JoJo Jolyne Cujoh, her clique and their stands.

The long-awaited premiere was celebrated by many fans of the series on all social media, with news accounts, gimmicks, shitposting communities and general anime pages all joining in on the fun.

DISCLAIMER: MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD

It's worth noting that David Production, the animation studio that has been adapting JoJo part by part since 2012, once again stayed as true to source material as possible, bar the usual copyright issues which JoJo fans should be too familiar with now. And while you might not hear the mention of Mickey Mouse, the studio spared no expense bringing Johngalli A's magnificent buttcheeks to the silver screen.

As twelve episodes are quite a lot to digest in one day for many viewers, no brand new JoJo formats were seen on day one of the premiere, but some will surely appear in the days to come. In the meantime, there is no lack of memes referencing the new episodes (as well as many fanarts of Jolyne and her friends).

It has not yet been revealed when episode 13 will arrive, but judging by how Arcane episodes were released on Netflix, we can expect another batch of episodes a few weeks or months later.
