Joe Biden ignited controversy yesterday when he said "10-15% of Americans are not very good people."

Biden was speaking to black supporters in an online forum moderated by actor Don Cheadle. While discussing race relations in America in the wake of the George Floyd Protests, Biden called Donald Trump a divisive leader who brings out the worst in people. He also remarked that the vast majority of Americans are decent and want to make the country a better place, but added that "there are probably anywhere from 10 to 15% of the people out there that are just not very good people."

For many, the remarks were reminiscent of Hillary Clinton saying that half of Trump's supporters were a "basket of deplorables" during the 2016 Presidential election. On Twitter, the remarks divided users between those who agreed with Biden's statement and those who criticized the message as divisive.

Literally how is this controversial at all? If you think this is too much, you must have lived a VERY sheltered life or live in denial.

Do people really have such a problem accepting this? "Not good people" Doesn't mean outright criminals, it means racists, sexists, bullies, hardliners etc. just people without any scruples. That look for any excuse why horrible act X was totally justified and the victim deserved it.

From moms that don't let their children have a proper childhood because every single second of their lives (including adult life) has already been set in stone by their moms, to men sexually harassing women wherever they can, to bullies that just get a kick off making the lives of others miserable, to managers and bosses that fire any employee for just criticizing them, etc.

And those are just "assholes due to mental issues" and not just "asshole just cuz".

And there I would say that maybe up to 30% of people (no I don't mean Republicans, just all people in general) have probably a very weak moral fiber and ends just justify the means.

Or are you someone whose entire image of morality is so binary, that you are either "a good person" or "literally Hitler", so unless you are an absolute monster everyone is "good"?

Joe Biden is officially that guy who goes afk at the start of the match then when all of his team is dead, he comes back with his team spamming "clutch or kick" in chat only to fat finger the number keys and kill himself with a grenade.
