Grimes Studying 'The Communist Manifesto' After Split With Billionaire Musk Raises Questions

Photographs of Canadian singer Grimes doing some light reading with a copy of Karl Marx' "The Communist Manifesto" in hands went viral, but did not exactly appeal to leftists on social media.

Grimes, who recently split with world's on-and-off richest man Elon Musk after three years and one son together, was photographed yesterday reading Karl Marx' and Friedrich Engels' "The Communist Manifesto," of of the defining work of communist literature.

The jump from dating a multi-billionaire to studying on seizing the means of production that Grimes accomplished in a span of one week did not go unnoticed. Whether Grimes is posing, coping, trolling or doing praxis is open to interpretation, and social media got interpreting.

According to Grimes herself, that day she was bothered by paparazzi so she put on an act by grabbing a copy of Marx' work and did a little trolling. She also wrote that she is not a communist, but is rather more interested in "radical decentralized UBI that could potentially be achieved thro crypto and gaming" (although, by her own admission, she hasn't ironed that idea out enough yet).

Will Grimes complete her exploration of remaining political compass quadrants remains to be seen. She did try to sell her soul once and named her son X Æ A-12, so experiments like that is not something the Canadian singer would shy away from.
