Jeffrey Epstein co-conspirator and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell was placed on suicide watch ahead of her sentencing hearing today, stirring up quite a storm of conspiracy theories and memes online.
Maxwell was convicted for helping Epstein entrap and abuse girls for a sex-trafficking ring that allegedly involved many powerful and famous figures in the Western world. She could face up to 30 years in prison. Her lawyers claim that she is not suicidal, despite the prison’s designation.

The placement of Maxwell on suicide watch reminded many of what happened to Epstein in 2019. The child molester and financier died a month after entering government custody, reportedly by suicide. Many online, however, believe that Epstein did not kill himself and that clients of the sex-trafficking ring arranged his murder in order to avoid the release of incriminating evidence. This same group of people is now troubled by Maxwell’s placement on suicide watch.
