Beloved Minecraft content creator and YouTuber Technoblade has succumbed to his cancer at the age of 23 after a fight that forced him to retire from streaming.

While longtime rumors had insisted that his name was "Dave," he revealed that his real name was "Alex" and that it was all part of an elaborate trick on his own community, with this reveal being done via a final YouTube video posted to his main channel, likely the last upload that will be posted on it.

The video opens with his dad and dog, before going into the pre-recorded gameplay video with voice-over.

When it comes to Technoblade, a face reveal was something that was planned but just couldn't get done in time for a grand reveal, which is why a few pictures of him with his family were uploaded with the video — showing that one of his merch models was his sibling, seemingly keeping the business that he formerly apologized to fans about for "selling out" close to home where it would benefit them.

His goodbye and farewell video was viewed over 1 million times within just two hours of being uploaded. It moved many other prominent content creators to tears as they posted their condolences and favorite memories of Alex on their socials alongside fans.

The video ends with a final message from the family to the fans and the greater community. But most important of all, they asked for privacy and respect during this time. It's important to respect the friends and family that are most affected by this passing and respect them during this, as that's what Technoblade would have wanted as well.

If there is one thing to look forward to in the future its that we have hope for effective cancer treatments. Just a couple months ago there was a clinical trial of a cancer treatment where all 18(small sample size I know) patients with rectal cancer recovered, the first time that has happened in history.
