With the newest season of Rick and Morty, there have been more ways to watch it than ever before. New episodes can be seen live on TV or streamed from various other websites via paid subscriptions. One of those paid services is Amazon's Prime Video service, which uploads the newest episode when it premieres.

That is … unless someone makes a mistake and uploads the wrong episode too early, as was done on Sunday night with episode seven of season five. While the issue was quickly fixed, there were still plenty of people on Twitter showing screenshots of what they captured while it was on their device.

While this leak seems to be entirely unintentional, a few Twitter users started to theorize how such a thing can occur. The current theories are that it was either mistakenly leaked because of the references to episode four confusing someone into thinking it was episode four, or it was leaked on purpose because episode four had such mixed reactions online that having the aftermath of it show up in this one helps to normalize it.

The synopsis of the episode is: Rick is about to take Morty and Summer to "Boob World," but instead finds the last mecha ferret to complete his universe's version of a Voltron. He quickly gets mad with power and ropes in other Ricks in other universes to create bigger and bigger Voltron robots that merge together, before things reach their expected conclusion.

While it's true that the episode was quickly removed and changed out with the correct one, that still did not stop people from being able to grab the episode and save it offline, as can be seen by checking Twitter for people with automatic Plex notifications.
