A reflection upon the wojak posters from /qa/

Those guys were annoying and I’m happy that they fucked off.

Okay that wasn’t really that too good of a reflection, I’ll come up with a better one.

Most of us hated the wojak posters for posting what was seen as the same image. Looking back, I’m kicking myself for not thinking of this sooner. If we wanted to combat the wojak posters, we could’ve done so by making the most lazy wojak edits of all time.

Stuff like…..

  • Simply changing the color of the wojak whether it be just the outlines or the whole body itself.
  • Flipping the wojak on another side like having it turn upside down or on the side.
  • Inverting the wojak’s color scheme making it go from black outlines and white background to black background and white outlines.
  • Lazily inserting it into another picture.
  • A combination of the above.

I think we could’ve been able to combat wojak posting by making the most lazy and uncreative edits there is to possibly suck out the fun of posting wojak on /qa/. But the time has passed and /qa/ got bored. Now I’m kicking myself for not thinking of it sooner.

are you really still dwelling on old news like this? wishing for attention again from a mostly forgettable 4chan raid? That can't be healthy.
You want Wojak so bad, I'd head over to 4chan and anonymously draw a new Wojak to force as a meme like the rest of the proto-redditors there, that sounds more fun that lamenting about it here

Nothing personal, they just hate people and life in general. Not even kidding here, just look at their average threads about anything. All doomposting and general "I don't like thing" remarks about whatever. KYM was simply in the crossfire for it at one point.

Why, what purpose would this even serve?

Why would you combat copious, low-effort content by creating even more-copious, lower-effort content. The best response would be to not interact with them at all.

My idea was that maybe even they have standards and by spamming the board with garbage even they would eventually be annoyed, they'd see how it'd feel.

Have you not heard of the old internet adage "Don't feed the troll"? We are better off not getting into shit-flinging contest with random 4chan boards.

This. We honestly don't need to give the trolls any attention. Doing so not only feeds them, it has them keep up their attempts because we're just feeding into it. Ignoring it and letting them screech on would be the better option since not only would they look impotent, the attention would on this site from some 4Chan boards would eventually die down or at least get reduced further from what it was.

I guess that makes sense thanks Neddy

We fell for their trick. They fed on our hatred of Wojaks and they decided to raid our site with Soyjaks and (at least) I thought it would be a good idea to raid them back.

I made things worse. If some douchebag finds out about this and decides to raid this site again, then I don't know what should we do.

Ignore 'em for one
Site users did their usual routine of blowing a non-issue outta proportion last raid, showing up on profiles to talk shit or leaving their 'takes' in the comments and trying to attract as many mods on the 'issue' as possible
When users started deactivating their accounts with sincere parting speeches on the forums like anyone knows or cares who they are, /qa/ anons were laughing their asses off at the spectacle and only wanted to post even more soy into the galleries
Like what BravelyDefect said, don't feed the trolls if you don't want to look like an anonymous fool during raids

Yeah I barely even noticed all of it going down. I guess it helps I rarely actually go to the New Images tab though so the only times I saw any were actually pretty rare.

Let's just shut the hell up about what happened in September and if we keep going like this, they will mock us like that time I posted one image which was posted on /qa/ long time ago and I found it on soyjak.party for an article about us.
